Flora Mortis: Chittagong Commonwealth War Grave

A selection of photographs taken when I was guided around by my friend Tanbir, in Bangladesh, July 2011.

The Chittagong War Cemetery was created by the British army.
There are now 731 commonwealth  graves from WWII, 17 of which are unidentified, plus 19 Japanese graves.
The Chittagong-Bombay WWII Memorial is at this cemetery of 524 soldiers, 194 airmen, 13 sailors. UK – 378, Canada – 25, New Zealand – 2, undivided India – 214, East Africa – 11, West Africa – 90, Burma – 2, and Australia – 9.
